Asset transactions tutorials

Fixed Assets uses transactions to record any changes or additions to an asset's value.

The asset transactions tutorials use the tutorial database to show how to:

Increase an asset's value
Build up an asset's value over time
Decrease an asset's value
Partially dispose of an asset

Each of these tasks involves transactions to modify an asset's value.

$image\bm1.gif$ Fixed Assets transactions are not accounting transactions, such as general journal transactions, or general ledger transactions.
A Fixed Assets transaction is any change to an asset that affects its value.

Open the tutorial database Learn how.

Transactions are entered using the Transactions Tab of the List assets window. To open the List assets window either click the List assets command on the Assets menu or press Ctrl + L.
